If you have been following this blog for the last few months, you’d know that I don’t really follow every recipe it’s exact teaspoon measurements. But since I’ve failed in baking a coloured cake, I’ve gone and reached lengths to include every ingredient and measure everything as precise as possible.
With D’s, help, we managed to spend our early afternoon preparing these wonderful-looking cupcakes. I first found Cupcake Jemma‘s Youtube channel weeks back. Then I came across her Rainbow Cupcakes video. I finally gathered my guts to produce this really-easy-looking cupcake (it definitely isn’t easy).
Probably the most time- consuming thing was making the colours from food colouring and piping the different colours into the muffin moulds.
As you might have already guessed, we didn’t have enough of some colours (may be due to the fact that I did not distribute the batter evenly). But we made the best from the situation.
The muffins turned out great. Cutting a cupcake and getting at least more than one colour in it. I was pleased with our results and we were finally successful!
I wished I had time to make coloured frosting as I was tight on time that afternoon. But I’ll be making more of these in the later future!
